Welcome to Van Life Devotions. When you see the news, it is depressing – war, tension, violence, injustice. When the world feels dark, it’s easy to be overwhelmed by fear, pain, or uncertainty. The Bible reminds us that in the darkness, there is also light. It says, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5 NIV). No matter how heavy the news feels, or how uncertain the future seems, God’s light is always shining. Even in the End Times, when the world will be darker, God’s light will still be there. You see, Jesus has conquered darkness and death when He was raised back to life, and His presence brings light and hope into dark places. So, when the world feels dark: Review the amount of time you watch negative news; Read the bible and discover how God is in the darkness; Reflect God’s light that will bring hope to another; and Reach out to God’s light – it never goes out.
