Hello and welcome to Van Life Devotions. Rejection stings. Whether it’s being overlooked for an opportunity, misunderstood by others, or pushed away by those you love, it cuts deeply because we are wired for connection and belonging.
Rejection is not unfamiliar to Jesus. In fact, Jesus was no stranger to it. He was rejected by His hometown, betrayed by a close friend, abandoned by His followers, and ultimately crucified by the very people He came to save. The Bible says, “He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering…” (Isaiah 53:3 NIV). Yet in the face of rejection, Jesus never lost sight of His identity or His mission. Why? Because Jesus knew that He was loved and accepted by God our Father.
The Bible reminds us that you are chosen and accepted—not because of your performance or popularity, but because God loves you.
Rejection from people doesn’t mean rejection from God. He draws near to those who draw near to Him (James 4:8).
