Hope In 60 Seconds - When I Feel Defeated

Hi there and welcome to Van Life Devotions. There are moments when life leaves you feeling flat on the ground. The prayer you prayed hasn’t been answered. The battle you fought seems lost. You’ve given your best, and it still wasn’t enough.

Defeat has a way of saying, “You’re done.” But the truth is, if you follow Jesus, you fight from a place of victory. The cross and the empty tomb are proof that no defeat in this life can erase the victory He has already secured for you.

Your current struggle may look like a loss, but God often uses what looks like defeat as the very foundation where future victory grows. Setbacks can become setups. Your story isn’t finished yet - God is still writing. The Bible says, “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57 NIV).

When you feel defeated, look up. Eternity shows Jesus winning, and if you follow Him, you win too.
